Offset-arranged floors and countless cantilevered balconies required a detailed formwork and enclosure concept.

56 Leonard Street, United States of America
New York, Estados Unidos

  • 250-meter high residential tower in Manhattan with almost 60 floors
  • 145 exclusive apartments
  • 10 penthouses

The Swiss architecture firm, Herzog & de Meuron, outfitted the building with a striking design. More than 300 irregularly arranged balconies protrude from the glass facade; in some places, the floors are inwardly offset. This creates the impression that the individual floors are stacked on or moved into one another.
